The New Cage!

So the new cage arrived today! Flat packed, of course. But A put it together for me and it looks great.
Isn't it great?! It's a rabbit hutch but it's perfect for Scooter. The top door with the lock is where his bed is. To the left is his food bowls and on the lower level is his kitty litter tray. We are still working on that area (the pooping in the right place)
I gave Scooter a bit of fresh beef  and he snatched it away from me as quick as lightning and before i could pick him up and put him in his cage, he ran under the fridge to eat it. And he squeeked at me as if to say "No, get away, i want to eat it NOW!"
He finished his meat and came out for more, so i managed to put him in his cage, but he knew there was more meat so he was all over the place.
He is asleep now.

I took this video about a week and a half ago. Scooter looks so small in it. He has grown so much since. I will take pics and upload them in tomorrow's post so you can see the difference.

Isn't he cute! Till tomorrow.

Just wanted to show you my art.

So i noticed that i have a follower called Brian, and he is a artist (By the way, Nice work Brian) and now i'm inspired to post my art, which is something that didn't even cross my mind. (I know, silly!)
It can also be seen at: http://www.staceemills.mosaicglobe.com/
I am always uploading more work that i have done, but here are some pics.
Red Devil
Blue Glass

So the painting on the left is called 'Red Devil' and the painting on the right is 'Blue Glass'. I used acryllic paint on canvas. I suppose you could say i like abstract.

CHANGE OF SUBJECT MATTER!

So i have a feeling this blog is going to turn into an ode to ferrets. I did the road trip thing and was thinking of other ideas to write about, and when Scooter came into our lives and i realised actually how funny and entertaining ferrets are, it would make sense to share his shenanigans with everyone.
Holding him like this does not hurt him. He is yawning :)
Plus, if others are thinking about owning ferrets, or have some already. They can read this and get tips. My best friend who i live with has bred ferrets in the past, so he is a wealth of knowledge for me. Scooter is 8 weeks old now, and he is growing so fast. He has a big appetite. But all ferrets do. I feed Scotter three times a day with cat food (Wet and dry) and chunks of meat off cuts from the butcher.
Right now, we are potty training. Ten minutes after he eats, he goes back in his cage until he does his business (and he is getting very quick, only because he wants to get out and play more)
Anyway, If any of you guys have any funny stories or cute pictures, I'd love to hear them.

Been a while....

I know i haven't written in a while. Just been busy. But i do have a new member of my little family.
This is Scooter. He is my new ferret and he is six weeks old. He is so cute and playful. And is pretty well behaved for a ferret. He has learned that its not ok to bite already, after 3 days! and we have only had one accident where he did not go to the toilet in his litter box.
I have owned a ferret before. They are wonderful pets. A lot of people think they are lazy animals. They do sleep a lot, up to 18 hours a day. But when they are awake, it's full on! They are so inquisitive and curious. and you have to watch them too because they can get into everything! The hole under the couch lining, underneath the recliner.
But anyway, the weather has been good here, it's been sunny but not so warm today, last weekend was beautiful and hot. But the weather changes so dramatically and so quickly, It's nearly impossible to tell what each day will be like. Which i hate. I love the heat!

Home now

So we are home now. It has taken a couple of days to settle back in to home routine. I gave up writing about the last 2 days of the holiday because i only have two followers. (Thank you heaps for following guys.) I sort of lost sight as to why i was doing this blog. But i realised i am doing it for fun. Just cause i can do it. A is talking at a million miles an hour. talk, talk, talk. motormouth. Grr! And if i try to say something, he will talk over the top of me. Its so annoying and he knows he does it and how it pisses me off but he can't help himself.
Anyway, just a short entry today. I found this interesting blog called http://www.whatsgoingonwithoz.blogspot.com/
its really interesting, even though it has just started. Everyone should have a look at it. Scary stuff.

Day 4

So the lobster was....AMAZING! It was so meaty! There was so much meat in the tail. All i had for dinner was lobster meat and i was so full at the end. Worth the one hundred dollars A spent on it.
So today we didn't do much. I went up to the camp office to pay for an extra day. We are having such a great time i wanted to stay another night. I love the freedom of being able to do that and not have to ask anyone exept A, but he had the same idea. Luckily the cabin wasn't booked until the day we are now due to leave.
I went kayaking today! Another thing i have not been able to do since i was a kid. And last time i did try it, i fell in the water and got giardia. It's a bacteria and boy was i sick! I was on a camp and it made me so sick i had to be taken home. I think that is the most ill i have ever left.
But i did not have that problem this time. It was hard work actually, but great fun. A took some pics but he didn't zoom in so i won't even bother putting them up, however, there is a video. Excuse the use of the F word.
Also, today was the first overcast day we have had since we have been here. And that was ok because it still didn't rain.
So we just relaxed today really. I talked to a water skiier from New Zealand, he was friendly. Though i have noticed that everyone is friendly when your on holiday and that makes such a difference. If only people could be like that when they are not on holidays.
So only a short entry today. Not sure what we are doing tomorrow. Thats the beauty of holidays.

Day 3

So today we went to South West Rocks. It is another coastal town only about 40mins north of Port Mac. The weather was so nice, The beach was right next to the shops so it was a bit windy but it was really warm so the wind was lovely. We were going to sit in one of the outdoor cafes and have lunch but every one we went to, They had signs up saying "No dogs allowed" So we bought take away coffees and sat in the beach car park and watched the waves. I thought we had the best seat there anyway.
we also walked around the shops and i bought a new bikini (That makes three now) and i bought a kite!!!
I haven't flown a kite since i was a kid....Turns out it's just like riding a bike. Luckily it was windy back at the park so there was no worries getting it to fly. But the birds weren't too happy to see it. They continuously dive bombed it. They probably thought it was some huge bird after their babies. Was funny to watch.
A also bought me dinner for tonight. A big lobster! It is nearly as big as Frankie the dog, and he definitely wanted no part of going near it.
I put my best game show face. "And you could win this tasty lobster!" I'll also have you know that this lobster was a blue ribbon one. Hence the blue tag on the feeler thing.

And on the drive home there were some huge mountains that looked so green!

Damn It! I tried to upload the vid but it didn't work. I will try and post it at a later date.
And apologies to vegan's or vegetarians about me going on about eating lobster. But yes, I eat meat, I believe in the food chain. And in case you were wondering, i am a animal lover. Of EVERY animal. Even snakes and eels.
I didn't manage to take photos of the kite flying but i think you have seen a kite in the air.
So, tomorrow i think we are just going to have a rest day. We have been out and about every day since we have been here. Plus there are great things to do here at the park. I want to try kayaking. They are free to use here.
Till tomorrow...

Day 2

The weather is amazing. There is a cool wind and the sun is shining. We went to Port Macquarie and walked all along the break wall. The break wall was really something of a work of art. All of the rocks are painted by all sorts of people all over the world. I saw rocks painted by people from Switzerland, Scotland, Japan, America, Ireland. Any country you can think of, it was painted on the rocks. The pictures below are just some of the rocks. The break wall is about 4 and a half kilometres long.

The bottom photo i came across on the walk back to the car. We went on holiday to get out of the Blue Mountains and we saw them anyway!
One couldn't have asked for more perfect weather for the day. Frankie, my dog was very happy to walk along with us. We walked a fair way too, 4 hours all up. by the time we were nearly back at the car, Frankie was so tired, i had to pick him up and carry him. He was lumbering along. I forgot he would get tired quicker cause his legs are so tiny. He did good though. The photo with 'Emily the strange' has Frankie in it. Its funny cause a few shots after that photo was taken, he cocked his leg on the rock. It was ironic.

The above video is Frankie. He has never been on the beach or big rivers. It was funny to watch him biting at the little waves. And the little argument is just of Andy and I. Don't worry, we always pick at each other and its all in fun.  We went to this lake after lunch. I can't remember the name of it, but the river runs right under the Pacific Highway. The highway is one of the main roads that runs right up the coast of east Australia. It goes north towards Queensland. And i apologise in advance for the sound. It was windy and the mic on the camera picked everything up.
Tomorrow we are going into Kempsey and South West Rocks to have a look around there. Kempsey is about 30 mins north of Port Macquarie.
For dinner tonight, fresh oysters. Yum!

Arrived!

So we arrived at Stoney Park at about 9 this morning. We stopped after 6 hours of driving so A could have a sleep, That was at about 5am. We both slept in the car for a couple of hours. When i woke up, i went to find a toilet in the park we stopped at. I realised that the only toilet there was a huge hole in the ground with a toilet seat on top. I didn't like the thought of doing my business down a hole, It scared me actually. So i waited.
When we arrived at the park, The sun was shining and it was lovely and warm. We were about an hour early, check-in was at 10am. So we went to the corner shop and bought milk, coffee and some cold drinks to keep us going till we settled in.

The first pic is of the large pond at the front of the park. And the second pic is of our cabin (With A trying to fix my computer) Like i said, as soon as we got to the park, my modem decided to die for the duration of the entire holiday.
The cabin was great. 2 bedroom with a front veranda. Nice little bathroom. It was better than i imagined. Just like a little house. I could live there quite happily.
When we got settled into the cabin, I had a nap cause i was so tired after only having about 2 hours sleep on the drive up there.
The park is so relaxing. The wind is nice with the sunshine and the lake just 40 meters away. My dog took the drive well. He wasn't car sick, but he is used to being in the car, this was his longest trip. I was surprised at how well behaved he was. Frankie is a good little dog anyway but he travelled well, we pulled over every two hours to give him a walk and toilet break and a drink. He was allowed to stay in the cabin with us, The first night he was a bit unsettled but i let him sleep under my covers at night, so he was happy (And spoilt) And was only too happy to make his mark and pee on every free standing object around.

The pic is of me and Frankie. No matter where i was, he was never far away. I couldn't wait to lay in the sun! (I'm like a lizard, i could lay in the sun all day) Tomorrow we are going into Port Macquarie. It's a town that relies on fishing and tourism to keep it going. (I think so anyway) and it's a beautiful place with a few beaches. So i will take more pics and vids and post them tomorrow.
This vid is when we pulled into Macca's at about 4 in the morning. It's only short and not great, but there will be more great vids to come over the next few days.
I couldn't believe how amazing i felt as soon as we got to Stoney Park. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
Now, i understnad that there are plenty of holiday parks around that are great, but the last time i was in one was on holidays with my family when i was in primary school (And we were in a tent). This is my first holiday as an adult. Paid for all by myself, I organised the whole thing and

Sorry! No internet!

So this is me at Port Macquarie. We got there at 9am and we had to wait for an hour or so for our cabin to be ready. Whilst we were waiting,  I went to write a blog entry and my internet gave out. Something in the modem stuffed up, therefore, i was without internet for the whole duration. And this really pissed me off because, as you know, the whole reason for this blog was to publish my holiday. But now i am back online, i am going to post it as if the net was working. So over the next 5 days, i will post things so you dont have to read everything in one go.
Damn technology!

The Anger of a Woman!

So i went up to the shop today to get some milk. The car park at the little shopping centre is famous for getting dints and bangs in the sides of your car due to old people who cant see over the wheel of thier car, or stupid women driving 4WD's. (No, don't bother calling me sexist, its logic. I wouldn't drive one of them in a suburban area)
But today i took a chance, and as you readers know, i drove my new car up there. (The car that i have only had for a month). So i go in the shop, get the milk, pay for said milk and get in the car and drive the 375 meters back home. Then A comes outside to show me what he bought this morning from town and he sees it... The tail light is smashed.
Someone had reversed out of thier parking spot and backed right into my car! And instead of stopping and leaving a note on my windscreen, (You know those notes "Im sorry i bumped your car, Heres my number...")
I was so angry that people don't even care about other peoples property. And in times like these, its hardly an easy thing to just go out and get the electrics repaired and a new tail light. These things are pricey! But know, The people who hit and run don't care! But i am willing to bet $100 that if this happened to those people, they would crack it and feel the same way!
I was bought up to treat others how you want to be treated and i try to do that every day. And i can honestly say that if i had bumped into someones care and left damage, i would leave them my details!
After i discovered this financially pricey and not pretty vandalising of my car, i actually fantasised about what i would have done and said to the person if i had caught them. I thought about taking a base ball bat to their car plus other assorted thoughts that may deem me insane in some countries.
And another point: If i had witnessed such a thing happening to someone Else's car, i would help them out and get the number plate so i could give to the victim.
Just shows what sort of careless world we live in. Not even your neighbours will look out for you these days.
But the plus side, We are leaving for our holiday on Friday.

Friday, October 8, 2010

Still counting down.

I can’t believe there is still 7 days to go till we go away! The time can’t go fast enough! I have the suitcases laid out in the spare room ready to be packed. I even have a little suitcase on wheels for my dog and his stuff. Just blankets and towels, shampoo, leads... all that stuff a social butterfly dog needs for his first real holiday. But i digress. I have already dug out my blow-up li-lo (Which is like a blow up mattress for pools) and tomorrow i’m going to test it to see if there are holes in it. And considering i have only used it once, there shouldn’t be any holes in it.
I haven't been on a real holiday in so long. I can't wait to be driving in the sunshine with my sunnies on and the heat in the car. Then getting to our cabin and checking out the lake. Hopefully it will be warm enough to go for a swim.
While i was motivated and going through everything to find my li-lo i organised my wardrobe. I threw out all the clothes i don’t like or want anymore, (and i didn’t through them out, i put them in a bag and am going to put them in the charity bin... good Samaritan and all that) and now my clothes are in two wardrobes (One walk in robe, the other is a normal size one) and one tall boy (Was two tall boys) Yes, i do have a LOT of clothes. But now they are all in one spot (sort of) and organised.

Change of plan.....Again!

ARRGGHH! Ok, So we have changed the plans again. Only because i became adamant on seeing the ocean and realised there is NO ocean in the middle of Australia. So we are now going to a coastal town called Port Macquarie which is north of Sydney. I have been there before but it is a beautiful place and there are dolphin cruises and beaches and warm weather.
We are staying in a water park! You can go wake boarding and jet skiing and all that jazz. We managed to get a cabin which is next to the lake and i have seen pics, it is beautiful! AND, Its dog friendly! So the mutt will be allowed to sleep inside, which is great. Port Macquarie is only about 4-5 hours away... As opposed to 3 days of driving. It seemed like the better decision. That way, we can get there faster and spent more time doing stuff.
And i have actually set a date! We leave on the 16th! Which is later in the month than i would have liked but the school holidays will be over by then so everything wont be so full. (Like the good places to stay and the awesome places to go and see)
So i am looking forward to getting there now. I am really hoping that it will be pretty warm up there too.

Getting EXITED!!!!!

The countdown is on! 2 weeks to go! The only thing we are waiting for is the registration papers for the car (It will run out while we are away)I am getting all the camera gear together. We have organised to get the car checked over before we go so it's in tip top condition for a LONG drive. And in the middle of nowhere, you dont want to be breaking down or running out of fuel. Im going to take videos and pictures aswell so you can see some of the trip....The really good parts anyway. I have been looking up pet-friendly hotels and am sort of relieved i have found at least 2. The one place i know i want to go to is Dubbo Zoo (It's actually called Western Plains Zoo...In Dubbo). Apart from that, we are just going to drive west and if we see anything that looks interesting, we are just going to pull over. I like the idea of not having an itinerary or a set schedule to stick to. It reflects my personality, just go with the flow. It's not the destination, it's the journey. Although our destination is going to be Broken Hill which is pretty much in the middle of Australia, And iv'e heard that the small mining city has lots to see.
Anyhow, Will keep you updated.
I know my blog is void of many pics but in 2 weeks, there will be heaps so fear not.

Art and catch up.

So i am not going to America, The trip fell through but that means we are moving the road trip forward. Within 4 weeks, we will be on the road. With the shiny new car, it should be a comfortable holiday. The pic is of me and my new car.
So i have started painting again, I used to paint a lot a few years ago. And i want to try sell my stuff. Im not big headed thinking my stuff is great but i thought that art is so expensive these days, Some of the stuff i do may catch someones eye and they might want to buy it. The website is www.staceemills.mosaicglobe.com

Home Sweet Home.

So i got back from Queensland last night, I had a good flight. It was Virgin Blue's tenth birthday so they let everyone have free foxtel for the duration of the flight. The seats were comfy... Was a great flight. I recommend anyone to fly with Virgin Blue. They are great. My flight even got into Sydney EARLY!
I had an awesome week with my BB. He was so good to look after. He doesn't cry. Yeah, really. He doesn't cry. I didn't have any screaming baby on my hands this week. I had a cute, very good boy to look after. Mind you, I think i have learnt every Wiggles song there is. But that won't be so bad i suppose, I'll be prepared next time.
I'm tired now....

Catch up..

I haven't written in a few days cause we have been pretty busy. Today I went to the Gold Coast Turf Club Family Day. I went with my step-mum's sisters. BB (baby brother) and i went into a petting zoo. We were sitting quietly next to a resting lamb and he was oh so cute! All the other kids were running around being brats and doing questionable things to the baby animals... I didn't like the feeling and i'm sure the baby animals didn't like it either. Anyway, BB and i were patting this lamb and a little girl came and sat next to us and started chatting away and i think BB didn't want to hear it so he turns around, looks at this girl and puts his hand over her mouth. It was so friggin funny.
Last night i took my little family out to dinner. We went to the revolving resturant at The Crown Plaza at Surfer's Paradise. The resturant is an all you can eat buffet and the food was AMAZING!!! I ate so much! Here is a run down of what i ingested: Oysters, thai noodle salad, moreton bay bugs, Steamed fish, Oysters kilpatrick, roast veggies, sushi, tira misu, black forest cake, chocolate mousse, watermelon, rockmelon (For anyone in America, That is cantaloupe) and then camembert cheese. So you could imagine, i was very full and looked at least 3 months pregnant! Well worth it though.
Tomorrow we are going shopping in Robina tomorrow.
When i was packing to come up here, I didn't bring as many clothes as i normally would. I usually bring heaps of clothes and only wear a certain few combinations. But now i have less clothes and i want more clothes to wear. The point? When in doubt, pack MORE clothes... Or don't, and it will give you a reason to go shopping.
Well, it is now 1.30am and i think i should go to bed now, despite having a 3 hour nanna nap when BB and i got home from the Turf Club.
Rock On!

Cloudy day

So today was nice. It was cloudy and a bit chilly actually and i realised i didnt pack anything like jumpers or trakkies....Or come to think of it, Any sort of long pants. So i had to rug up the brother in his pram (Knowing that he has a cold made my decision to go harder) and i walked up to the local shopping center to buy warm clothes.
I spent $150 just like that. Either the prices up here are exorbitant or i was ripped off and wasn't paying attention. I was only shopping for about half an hour. We stopped so the baby brother could have a ride at one of those ride-on cars that you put a dollar in and they get rocked backwards and forwards for 30 seconds. (I remember when i was younger it was like... Fifty cents for 4 minutes!...Again, ripped off) and i bought him a little frog that sung 'twinkle twinkle little star". He liked it for all of 5 minutes then he threw it out of the pram. (Ripped off...AGAIN!)
So i bought an umbrella cause i couldn't find one in the house to take with us and i thought it was going to rain. And if it did i would have had to shelter the brother from the rain with said umbrella whilst pushing the pram that banks right and trying not to get soaked myself. With all that said, It didn't rain.
So we got back home and Ma was home from work. I freaked out when i got to the front door to unlock it cause i heard voices inside the house and thought "Holy Shit! There is someone in there!" But it was Ma.
I have had a packet of smokes (25 in the pack) and they have lasted me 3 whole days! I had my last one just before i came to bed. Pretty good going i thought.
I digress.. So Ma made dinner (Crumbed fish with cheese and veggies) and relaxed for the rest of the night. So all in all, It was a nice day.
Tomorrow, Brother's little 4 year old cousin is coming over for a play date. Hopefully it will be sunny so they can play on the trampoline for a bit. And it will give me a chance to give my new camera a good test run.
My pillow is calling me to bed now so thats it till tomorrow.
Rock On!

Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Im on the Gold Coast.

So i am on the train on my way to the airport. It’s 7 in the morning. I’m off to the gold coast today. A is my escort to see me off and wave from the gate. It’s cloudy and chilly but im hoping its not at my said destination. It should be sunny but i have learnt to never trust the weather man. Anyway, here’s hoping...
The train has a certain smell...like cheap disinfectant and people. It’s not really a bad smell (thank god). The thing i hate most though, is the seats. They are unfomfortable and when you have lugguage, your only choice is to sit inside the carriage door. That’s not so bad cause you can see the people getting on or off. Everyone keeps to themselfs and avoid eye contact. I don’t think they did that back in the day, I think everyone conversed with each other and had a laugh. No people are paranoid about the person they are sitting next too. They are wondering where they are going, where they came from, if they murdered someone in the past 6 hours.
I shall sign off for now and update you when i am on the plane. I got to choose my seat so naturally i picked a window seat.
Ok. Couldn’t update on the plane cause there was NO room. But i am at my destination now. I flew through the clouds today. While everyone on the ground experienced a cloudy cold day, i was flying in the sunshine above the clouds. It may not sound like much fun but it was amazing. More people should try and get the window seat.
Well it’s now 11.00 at night and i’m done for today. Will write tomorrow. Peace Out!

My trip before my trip.

This is my baby bro Matty.

I booked my tickets to go to the gold coast in one week. I’m going up there to look after my baby brother who is 2 years old. My dad will be away for work and my step mum works so I am adhering to my sisterly duties and spending quality time with bub.
Our favourite thing to do is called ‘winter sunbaking’ BB (Baby brother) got a massive trampoline with a net around it for Christmas and we lay on it in the sunshine and sunbake. He loves it... I love it! He also LOVES watching ‘The Wiggles’. I myself am not quite so hot on them. I notice that kids absolutely love them and that’s great. But I can’t warm to them.
So I even had to go and buy new luggage. Now that’s done I am thinking about what to take. Clothes, cameras and the rest of it. It’ll all be good though. I love the whole journey to get there (The gold coast) the train trip to the subway to get to the airport. The hike to get to your terminal, the plane trip itself, and finally, seeing the desired people you are staying with and the end of the trip. I love that it’ll be sunny and warm up there. And I am VERY excited to spend a day on the beach h... lying in the sun, in the sand. Will be a good week.

Trying to dicate from a motormouth

So A tells me these are the places we are going. The stuart highway (Which runs right up the ass of Australia) is about 1000 kilometers long...at least. and is pure dirt. That should be an eventful drive. a thousand K's of STRAIGHT road.
And Uluru...Sorry, Ayres Rock (people changed the name, i know...what the f**k?!?!)
and the rock itself is 12 kilometers round. So its a MASSIVE rock, in the middle of nowhere. But iv'e seen pics of sunrises and sunsets with Ayres rock in the background and it look AMAZING..Im trying to type real fast to dictate what A is telling me where he wants to take me...yap yap yap.
Darwin? Kakadu? Coober Pedy? Alice Springs? I cant concentrate on this!!!!!!
I'm staring at the screen typing like a madwoman and then he stops talking and looks at me and says "did you get all that?"
I think my ears just started bleeding
peace out.

Thoughts on destinations....

So this pic is what i expect to see a lot of. Yeah, yeah, i hear you think....Your going on a road trip to see lots of bush and stuff through the window of a car.... But that's the whole fun of it! Awesome photos (and videos)of which you will see from yours truly. And i hope i dont meet that angry fella on the way...(The shark) yep...Haha.
A year ago, i went up to my dad's place on the Gold Coast. So we were bikeriding along this cool dirt track and wooden bridges when we just came into this HUGE field and there were all these kangaroos everywhere well....The video explains it.. I tried to get close to them but that was a no go. Anyway, i digress. I do want to see much more of these animals, Plus camels which run around wild in the middle of Oz so i've heard.

Iv'e also started a 'inspiration board' but in a book. Im putting in anything about Australia that takes my fancy. It's starting to look pretty cool.
Till later...
Peace Out.

Which car to choose....

So i was sitting on the lounge last night and it occured to me, 'What sort of car should we get for this trip?"
I thought maybe a station wagon, but this is a car that i want to keep after the trip. And preferably i want a pretty new, used car...If that makes sense.
I contacted Mitsubishi a while ago and asked for a brochure, Which i got but they are so self indulgent in the product and they just went into too much detail about 'what this car can achieve with you' and the specs of the engine which i thought i probably should learn to understand if i am going to choose a car but my female instinct said to me "C'mon, You dont want to know this shit, you just want the pretty car with the air-con and sunroof" To which i agreed and scrapped the mistubishi, only because they didn't include the price of the car in the brochure!! That's right, NO PRICE! So on that reason alone, i chucked the brochure away.
Which brings me to the thought of a little 4WD. The good points of taking a car like this is simple: A 4WD will drive over almost ANY terrain that Australia has to offer (And, If you agree with this, you will know that driving through the tough parts of Australia are like driving a Mini through Satan's backyard.) Plus, There would be enough room to pack all the shit that we need for the trip, on the assumption we will be stopping at night in caravan parks...(Which are dog friedly, a harder concept that maybe i think it is)Then i thought "No, I dont earn that much money and the price of tyres and rego and services for (Hopefully) years to come just outweighs my desire to A) Get a complete bargain B)Spend the money on the upkeep of the car long after we get back from said trip, and finally C)I just couldnt park a 4WD in a carpark with the confidence that i have with a smaller car. And, i am embarrassed to admit, is the biggest influence in my decision to scrap the 4WD.
So i have come to the conclusion!(Thank god, I hear you say)
I was looking on the internet for used cars, and came across one of my favourite cars. (The pic above)
The good points of this car are that it is simply a good car (In my opinion) and this car would give us the perfect excuse of NOT driving through Satan's backyard. It is a comfortable car...and that's it. A V6 would be sufficient enough i would think...
But you see my dilemma....

The point of this blog.

So the point of this blog is to document the road trip i am planning to do... Never done a 'blog' before and it wasn't until i was reading 'cosmo' that i came across other people's blog's. They sounded really interesting and i thought "If i find these people interesting, maybe my road trip will fancy somebody out there in cyber space?"

As you will see, the picture of Australia and i have roughly drawn in where we plan to go. Mind you, the planned route is 'at this stage'. And know that i am fussy and indecisive so the route is subject to change....But that's all the fun of it. (The red line is the route)
Now, The trip isn't for antoher few months but i thought i'd start early and also document the process of finding a car, getting all the stuff needed ect, ect.....
