I started doing this blog about my road trip. Now I have done that, I decided to write about my ferret, Scooter. I wanted to share funny stories about him as he grows up, and I'd love to hear other peoples stories about thier ferrets, or hints and tips on anything about owning a ferret.

Which car to choose....
So i was sitting on the lounge last night and it occured to me, 'What sort of car should we get for this trip?"
I thought maybe a station wagon, but this is a car that i want to keep after the trip. And preferably i want a pretty new, used car...If that makes sense.
I contacted Mitsubishi a while ago and asked for a brochure, Which i got but they are so self indulgent in the product and they just went into too much detail about 'what this car can achieve with you' and the specs of the engine which i thought i probably should learn to understand if i am going to choose a car but my female instinct said to me "C'mon, You dont want to know this shit, you just want the pretty car with the air-con and sunroof" To which i agreed and scrapped the mistubishi, only because they didn't include the price of the car in the brochure!! That's right, NO PRICE! So on that reason alone, i chucked the brochure away.
Which brings me to the thought of a little 4WD. The good points of taking a car like this is simple: A 4WD will drive over almost ANY terrain that Australia has to offer (And, If you agree with this, you will know that driving through the tough parts of Australia are like driving a Mini through Satan's backyard.) Plus, There would be enough room to pack all the shit that we need for the trip, on the assumption we will be stopping at night in caravan parks...(Which are dog friedly, a harder concept that maybe i think it is)Then i thought "No, I dont earn that much money and the price of tyres and rego and services for (Hopefully) years to come just outweighs my desire to A) Get a complete bargain B)Spend the money on the upkeep of the car long after we get back from said trip, and finally C)I just couldnt park a 4WD in a carpark with the confidence that i have with a smaller car. And, i am embarrassed to admit, is the biggest influence in my decision to scrap the 4WD.
So i have come to the conclusion!(Thank god, I hear you say)
I was looking on the internet for used cars, and came across one of my favourite cars. (The pic above)
The good points of this car are that it is simply a good car (In my opinion) and this car would give us the perfect excuse of NOT driving through Satan's backyard. It is a comfortable car...and that's it. A V6 would be sufficient enough i would think...
But you see my dilemma....
